Kia is set to unveil the EV9 lineup, with a diverse range of trims encompassing plenty of added features. The lineup features a rear-wheel-drive base trim and an impressive Long Range variant, capable of covering up to 300 miles. Additionally, Kia has developed several all-wheel-drive trims tailored to meet individual preferences and driving requirements. 2024 Kia EV9
The EV9 lineup will offer five trims, ranging from the entry-level EV9 Light RWD to the sporty EV9 GT-Line e-AWD. Deliveries for the EV9 are expected to begin later this year (2023). The EV9 Light RWD is the base trim, priced at $56,395 (plus destination fee). It has a rear-wheel-drive setup and an electric motor on the rear axle, offering an impressive 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
The EV9 Light RWD features an eight-way power-adjustable, heated, and cooled driver’s seat, making it comfortable for long drives. The 800-volt architecture of the EV9 supports DC fast charging, and it comes standard on all trims. Moving up the line, the EV9 Luxury RWD adds more premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The EV9 Premium RWD is the next trim in line, adding a power tilt-and-slide sunroof, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, and a 360-degree camera system. The EV9 GT-Line e-AWD is the top-of-the-line trim, priced at $74,995 (plus destination fee). It comes with all-wheel drive, and its sporty features include a GT-Line exterior styling package, unique 20-inch alloy wheels, and red brake calipers.
For those who plan to embark on longer road trips, Kia has introduced the EV9 Light Long Range trim, which costs $60,695 (plus destination fee) and comes with an upgraded battery pack that boasts a higher capacity of 99.8-kWh compared to the standard 76.1-kWh battery pack. The Long Range trim has a range of about 300 miles, as per Kia’s estimates, and it also features captain’s chairs in the second row that provide a more comfortable ride for passengers on longer journeys.
The Wind trim is the most affordable all-wheel-drive EV9, starting at $65,395 (plus destination fee). The dual-motor setup of this trim produces 379 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. It also has a standard heated steering wheel and a heat pump that helps the battery perform better in colder temperatures.
For those who want more features and an all-wheel-drive system, the EV9 Land is priced at $71,395 (plus destination fee). This trim comes with 20-inch wheels and “digital pattern” lighting elements on the front. The interior of the Land trim has a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, a digital rearview mirror, and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system. The Land trim also has more driver-assistance technology. If you need to tow, you can opt for an optional towing package that boosts the hauling capability of the EV9 Land trim up to 5,000 pounds.
