Is KIA Introducing Two New Pickups in 2025?

Two Kia Pickup trucks could be in the works and could arrive as soon as 2025.

CarExpert, WhichCar, and CarSales contacted Kia and received the following response: “Kia is currently developing a future pickup truck model that will be highly capable and fit for purpose. Additional details will be confirmed in due course.” 

Kia is known for offering affordable models in a wide variety of builds and styles, big and small. Finally, seeing the Kia pickup truck take shape was more significant than expected. Motor1 shared that the Kia pickup truck is on track to arrive in 2025. Multiple Kia dealerships in Australia have confirmed it. Hopefully, these trucks will be coming to the United States. The Kia truck might be based on the Kia Mohave, and the other Kia truck could borrow from the EV9. There are actually two other Kia trucks withinside the works. Kia said it will introduce electric-powered pickup trucks by 2027. Excitingly one will ride on a dedicated platform, and the other is a strategic model for emerging markets.

The Mohave and diesel engines could be different if it is created at an American standard. If the truck is built in Korea, then it will be subject to the 25% tariff imposed on light-duty trucks imported to America.

What to Expect for the American Version

We could be seeing an all-electric version based on the Kia EV9 SUV. It will definitely be high quality in all its materials. There is also a chance that it will take after the Kia Telluride. Traditional body-on-frame builds are more durable, allow for more suspension travel, and are easier to repair. The Kia EV9 is aiming for 339 miles of range with 379 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, so we can expect that the truck will have some similarities to this.
