2022 Kia Telluride Interior

For the 2022 model year, the Kia Telluride receives a couple of updates that include a new logo design, larger screens, more technology on the lower trims, and navigation-based adaptive cruise control is now available across the entire Telluride lineup. For consumers, this means getting a more technology-oriented ride with subtle improvements that make a difference. Kia’s goal by the end of 2021 is to sell as many 2022 Telluride SUVs as possible to gain traction for the upcoming mid-cycle refresh coming soon that consists of updating the whole front grille and the rear of the vehicle. As a South Korean automaker, Kia is confident in the products they deliver to the market. The Telluride is the company’s flagship SUV that it is seeking to perfect in every detail.

Exterior Upgrades

Updates for 2022 include a brand new logo that does away with the old oval shape favoring more dynamic lettering and a unique front style. Kia’s signature “tiger nose” front grille receives a minor update that eliminates the chrome accents and introduces black for the grille’s mesh color.

Interior Features

Other upgrades are evident in the Telluride’s interior, such as receiving what Kia calls “navigation-based Smart Cruise Control-Curve,” a form of adaptive cruise control that utilizes navigation data to adjust vehicle speed during turns. The lower LX and S trims have more luxurious features than ever before, including a 10.3-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, and semi-autonomous highway-driving assistance functionality.

Specifications and Costs

The power under the hood remains the same across all trim levels with Kia’s naturally-aspirated 3.8 L V6 engine that produces 291hp. There is no confirmation yet of a hybrid or electric powertrain for the Kia Telluride, but it is possible. Kia offers four trim levels for the Telluride that includes the LX, S, EX, and SX. Pricing ranges from a low of $32,790 to a high of $42,690, depending on the trim levels, extra equipment, and destination fees. Opting for an AWD configuration is an additional $2,000 for the upgrade.

A Great Mid-Size Family SUV

The Telluride is experiencing great success, and with several awards in its portfolio, such as making it on CarandDriver’s 10 Best Cars List for 2020 and 2021, in addition to winning an Editor’s Choice award for both years. With the Telluride, Kia is offering consumers a stylish, reliable, and practical family vehicle with a hint of luxury flavor that gives the Telluride an upscale look inside and out. Depending on the configuration, the Telluride sits seven to eight passengers comfortably with its third-row seating.
